Large silver-coloured coin with reeded edge. Obverse shows a left-facing Liberty head with the date 1891 legible below and the inscription 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' above, surrounded by a ring of stars. Reverse bears a spread-winged eagle perched on an olive branch and arrows, encircled by 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' and 'ONE DOLLAR', with 'In God We Trust' visible above the eagle; an S mintmark is visible below the eagle on the reverse. The coin displays bright, largely unimpaired surfaces with no obvious heavy wear to the high points, though minor contact marks are visible in the photographs.
