North Africa cloth escape map

A double-sided printed cloth escape map on what appears to be a fine silk or rayon fabric. One side is titled 'North Africa Containing Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Italian Libya and Spanish Rio de Oro' with a scale of approximately 1:4,000,000 and includes dual scales in English miles and kilometres; the map extends to cover the Canary Islands, Spanish Sahara, and sub-Saharan West Africa. The reverse side depicts Cyprus, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and surrounding Middle East territories, with a printed legend showing route types including railways and national boundaries. Both sides are printed in black with colour overlays (green, red, yellow) for roads and boundaries. The fabric shows clear fold lines and some light toning or soiling consistent with use and age; no significant tears are visible in the photographs.
