Soviet red velvet flag with hammer-and-sickle emblem and Marxism-Leninism slogan

Price on request

Large rectangular banner of crimson crushed velvet with gold bullion fringe along three edges (bottom and both sides). The obverse displays a centrally embroidered or applied USSR State Emblem — hammer and sickle over a globe, encircled by wheat sheaves and surmounted by a five-pointed star — rendered in gold and grey-blue tones. Above the emblem is a Cyrillic line reading 'ПРОЛЕТАРИИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНЯЙТЕСЬ!' (Workers of the world, unite!); below are three lines reading 'ПОД ЗНАМЕНЕМ МАРКСИЗМА–ЛЕНИНИЗМА, ПОД РУКОВОДСТВОМ КОММУНИСТИЧЕСКОЙ ПАРТИИ – ВПЕРЕД К ПОБЕДЕ КОММУНИЗМА!' All text and the emblem appear to be embroidered or machine-woven in gold thread. The reverse shows plain red velvet with no markings, and visible fold creasing and some uneven fading or mottling across the pile.

Condition
Good overall; velvet pile shows creasing, mottling, and uneven wear consistent with use and storage; gold fringe intact with minor tangling; no obvious tears or losses visible.
